Brad Marchand Says He Needs To "Cut That Shit Out" And I Couldn't Disagree More

You may think I’m trolling or just joshing with that headline, but I assure you I’m not. Sure, there’s a part of me that loves Marchand’s antics just for the laughs they provide me (I still can’t watch that clip without loling) but it’s much deeper than that.

Marchand can’t “cut that shit out” because that shit is why an undersized kid even got a shot in the league. That shit is what makes Brad Marchand Brad Marchand. You can say “oh he’s too talented to be taking penalties like that or getting wrapped up in that nonsense now” but everything goes hand in hand. If you force someone like Marchand to put out that fire then I strongly believe that will affect the rest of their game. You house train a cat then let that thing outside guess what? He’s forgotten all his instincts and he’s going to die. He’s forgotten what made him a cat.

Fact of the matter I think trying to convince one of the best players in hockey to forget a part of the game that makes him him is stupid. So he takes some penalties that make you shake your head and licks a few faces, I don’t fucking care. I’d rather have that guy plus the premier point scorer he’s become rather than some neutered version of both.

You dance with the one who brought you and pest Brad Marchand is the one who brought him this far, I see no reason to ditch that.
